Zone Diet Rules to Remember
1. Make sure every meal and snack has the right combination of low-fat protein, favorable carbohydrates (like vegetables and fruit), and a dash of "good" fat.
2. Always eat a Zone meal within one hour of waking.
3. Eat at least five times a day: three Zone meals and two Zone snacks.
4. Never let more than five hours go by without eating a Zone meal or snack, even if you're not hungry.
5. Use fruits and vegetables for the bulk of your carbohydrate calories - with bread, pasta, grains, and other starches used primarily as condiments.
6. Drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses of water every day.
7. If you make a mistake, don't worry. Just get back on track with your next meal.
